I was born and raised in Hubei Province, China. In 2008, I moved to Jilin province and started my undergraduate studies at Jilin University. Since my sophomore year, I became interested in the intriguing nature of organic chemistry, namely the art of organic synthesis. So I joined Prof. Song’s research group, where my research interests spanned from medicinal chemistry to supramolecular chemistry. In July 2012, I obtained my B.S. degree in chemistry and my research topic entitled “The Design and Synthesis of Fluorescence Molecular Switches Tuned by CB[7] and α-CD”. I joined Prof. Wang’s Functional Microporous Materials (FMPMs) group at Wuhan University as a visiting student this summer. The dynamic and coordination of this group, to my best of knowledge, will inspire me to explore the field in depth. In my spare time, basketball is one of my favorites.
