My name is Arindam Mal. I am from a small heritage city Santiniketan in West Bengal, India. I have done my B.Sc in chemistry at Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. Later on, I completed my M.Sc degree in chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. After that, I moved to CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST), Trivandrum for my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. A. Ajayaghosh. During my stay in Trivandrum, I mainly involved in the design and study of self-exfoliation properties of ionic covalent organic frameworks, self-assembly and photophysical properties of ionic covalent organic nanosheets. Currently, I am a postdoctoral research scholar in Prof. Wang’s Research Group under international postdoctoral exchange Fellowship programme. I am happy about being here in a dynamic research group of Wuhan University and working with 3D covalent organic frameworks. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, playing table tennis and sleeping.
